Exciting news for LCRF research grant program
2019 is a VERY exciting year for LCRF’s research grant program – we have added two new funding mechanisms this year alone! LCRF recently announced the awardees of our 2019 research grant focused on lung cancer disparities, and we will be supporting three projects focused on the management of targeted therapy side effects for non-small cell lung cancer patients. Stay tuned to hear additional details about our 2019 research grants in the fall.
New Scientific Advisory Board chair
Two-time LCRF grant recipient, Dr. Katerina Politi, has been named the chair of LCRF's Scientific Advisory Board, taking over the role for Dr. James B. Dougherty. Dougherty, who held the chair position for 14 years, has been instrumental in the growth of LCRF and our grant program.
Make an impact in one minute
Sharing your hopes for the future of lung cancer can inspire others to get involved and support research. Pick up your phone and record a one-minute video of yourself talking about your connection to the lung cancer community. Why is funding lung cancer research important to you? Why do you want everyone to be free to breathe? Use the hashtags #lcrf and #freetobreathe, and tag us @lungcancerresearchfoundation on Facebook or Instagram; @lcrf_org on Twitter.
