Help me increase lung cancer survival!
I am updating my fundraiser to reflect Lunge Cancer Awareness month. Lung Cancer is the leading cause of cancer deaths in the world by a long shot! It is not just a smoker’s disease, and that stigma has resulted in horrific underfunding for research into this disease.
I had a marvelous 5 months off all drugs because of research and a new drug that was not available when I was diagnosed 17 months ago. My cancer has returned, and I will be going back on that drug. Currently available drugs are meant to be life extending—more research will find what we all want—a cure!
