Help me improve lung cancer outcomes!
My beautiful wife of 34 years lost her 50 month battle with EGFR mutation lung cancer. A Never smoker this mutation turned the EGFR protein on permanently causing uncontrolled duplication of cells. She fought courageously and bravely. Tarceva an oral medication was approved after clinical trials and it worked for a long time before resistance developed. She went into clinical trials for the next generation of EGFR treatment and they also worked, but for a lesser period of time. In Maria's memory, I dedicate my time and effort for those undergoing this battle and to help the effort to eradicate this horrible disease.
Helping those affected by lung cancer is important to me, which is why I am participating in this Free to Breathe event. Over the next decade, the National Lung Cancer Partnership is striving to double the five-year lung cancer survival rate.We won’t be able to make this vision a reality without you!
