Celebrating Diane!
After my sister Diane died of lung cancer in January I received an email from the Lung Cancer Research Foundation about their activities and fundraising efforts. One struck a chord with me, the Free to Breathe Walk! It will take place this year on October 22nd, Diane's husband's birthday, and my wedding anniversary. I felt Diane was encouraging me to step out of my comfort zone and help save others from this cancer.
So I decided to start a walk in Zelienople, Diane's home town, and invited Lorraine and my nieces to help me get this organized. We're doing a short walk around town to celebrate my beautiful sister and hope to make her proud by raising funds for research and education programs.
Please join our walk, we'll be meeting at Park United Presbyterian Chruch and starting the walk at 9:00am. It's a 2 mile walk and we'll end with some light refreshments at the Church Hall.
In addition, on August 4th, we'll be meeting at Primanti's in Cranberry who will donate a portion of all food puchases to LCRF! I'll be sure to share more information on that nearer the event.
Your donation can help make surviving lung cancer the expectation, not the exception.
Thank you in advance for your support and generosity. Together, we can make a difference for each and every person whose life has been touched by lung cancer.
P.S. Join me on event day, and make your own fundraising page!
