Help me increase lung cancer survival!

Hello! Thanks for taking the time to visit my fundraising page and helping me raise money for the Lung Cancer Research foundation!
As some of you may know, I lost my mom to Lung Cancer in 2008 when I was in 4th grade. She was a legend in our hometown of Somers and a pillar of the community due to all of her volunteer work. Her contributions are too numerous to list, but include some of the following: a former PTA president of Primrose, SIS and SMS, a Girl Scout leader, an AYSO soccer coach and administrator for more than ten years, a Destination Imagination Team Manager, a Somers Park and Recreation program instructor and much more.
The thing I remember the most however, was her ability to bring joy to everyone around her. She had a smile that was infectious.
This November, I will be participating in the NYC marathon in her memory while raising money for the Lung Cancer Research Foundation. Running the NYC marathon in my mom’s memory was something I always wanted to do growing up so I am thrilled to get the opportunity to do so with the Lung Cancer Research Foundation.
My mom was passionate about fitness and for years she helped run the Somers Road Runners club which hosted after school track and field events for kids of multiple ages. Even after her passing our town hosted the Lynn Adams memorial 5k walk/run which raised money for a scholarship in her name. Running for my mom is something I am very familiar with and I am excited to get the chance to do it again.
It would mean the world if you could help raise funds for the LCRF so that someday those diagnosed with Lung Cancer can live a long and healthy life.
Thank you for taking the time to read this and joining us in this fight. I am so honored to be running with the LCRF team!
Thank you for all your support,
Josh
