“You really can change the world if you care enough.” – Marian Wright Edelman
Gayle. Spouse. Mom. Grandma. Sister. Aunt.
Physically active with aerobics and yoga. Avid gardener. Church volunteer. Gracious host who created a warm environment. Loyal friend. Loved and cherished her family.
Hadn't smoked a cigarette in almost 30 years.
She was diagnosed with stage IV lung cancer on May 5, 2016. An initial treatment appointment was scheduled for May 23, 2016 at Mayo Clinic.
However, she passed away on May 20, 2016.
We fight because she didn't get the chance to. We fight to improve the tools used for early detection of lung cancer in order to increase the chances of survival.
Your support will help fund important research for the LEADING CANCER KILLER of men and women. Approximately 20 people die from lung cancer every hour. Proceeds from the event will benefit innovative lung cancer research projects through Lung Cancer Research Foundation.
Our team is taking a stand against lung cancer, and we hope you'll stand with us! Together, we can make a difference to those affected by this devastating disease. We can show the world that it’s time to make surviving lung cancer the expectation, not the exception.
Here are three ways you can join us in making this vision a reality:
