2019 Chicago Lung Run

James G. Terry known to family and friends as Haymoe indelibly left his mark on us all. His love for family and friends, his will to fight even when odds where against are a true testament to the man he was. He fought many health issues from birth, with having a form of spina bifida, to later in life having his leg amputated, renal cancer; where he later received a kidney transplant from his Eldest Son, Marques to battling and subcoming to lung cancer in November 2018. Despite his various trails he exemplified true courage and fight. He was always present for his family and looked to be a source of inspiration to others for which he was. He was loving all the time even when in pain and battling such monsters and even then complained very little or not at all. We stand in his honor as his family and friends and promise to continue to fight and look to help families who may be going through similar with Lung Cancer. He was HERE, he lived, he loved and he will never be forgotten. We will cherish his memory and be his legacy that will continue to fight in his honor until such sickness is no more as God promises - (Isa 33:24 “And no resident will say: “I am sick”: #TeamMoe for Life!!

Our team is taking a stand against lung cancer, and we hope you'll stand with us! Together, we can make a difference to those affected by this devastating disease. We can show the world that it’s time to make surviving lung cancer the expectation, not the exception.

Here are three ways you can join us in making this vision a reality:

  • Donate to a team member to support our fundraising efforts – find the team list on the right side of this page
  • Click on the “Join” button to join our team
  • Spread the word about our fundraising efforts by sending the link to this webpage to everyone you know

The money we raise together will support the Lung Cancer Research Foundation and its mission to improve lung cancer outcomes by funding research for the prevention, diagnosis, treatment and cure of lung cancer. On event day, our team will enjoy being together, but the real reward is that we're raising funds that will save lives. You can help us bring hope to those affected by lung cancer.

Please donate today and invite a friend to do the same. If you can join our team for the event, we’d love to have you! We can’t wait to celebrate our successes with you on event day.
