The A-Team was formed in 2013 in honor of one remarkable woman, Allison Tackett. She entered our lives as a small group leader, and remains in our hearts as so much more. The small group was formed in August of 2012 and Allison shared her passion for educating people about lung cancer and her heart for the cause, with us all. That November, our group joined her at the Athens Free to Breathe 5k. Allison passed just a week later.

The following year, The A-Team was formed. In the past 5 years, this team has seen friends, and loved ones diagnosed with lung cancer. We have seen firsthand how many lives this disease touches. We want to continue the fight for change and awareness for Allison and the many others who have been affected by lung cancer. Together, we can see the day where surviving lung cancer is the expectation, not the exception.
