Join my team and help me increase lung cancer survival!
In April 2017, my beautiful Mom checked into the hospital to be treated for metastatic cancer in the brain. We had thirty-three days together, by her bed-side, before cancer claimed her life on the morning of May 16, my 32rd birthday. She was 66 years old.
Despite having lost her Dad to lung cancer, also at the age of 66, we would not find out my Mom's primary cancer was also lung cancer until a few days into treatment. My Mom was an active, health-conscience, non-smoker, with no breathing-related symptoms. This is how lung cancer claims so many lives. By the time doctors know it is there, it has often traveled throughout the body.
I will be participating in the 2019 Free to Breathe Yoga Challenge, a five-hour yoga challenge to honor and memorialize my Mom and every person whose life has been touched by lung cancer.
I am raising funds to increase the odds of surviving lung cancer so that no person has to suffer the loss of a loved one to this terrible disease.
Your donation will support the Lung Cancer Research Foundation and its mission to improve lung cancer outcomes by funding research for the prevention, diagnosis, treatment and cure of lung cancer.
I am so grateful for your generosity and helping me raise awareness for lung cancer research. Please feel freel to share the link to my fundraising page.
