EGFR ResistersEGFR Resisters is excited to partner with Lung Cancer Research Foundation to raise funds for new EGFR-positive lung cancer research project(s). EGFR Resisters ( has worked since our founding in 2017 to identify gaps in research and critical needs for our patient community. We have proven the power of patient driven research and are ready to help fund more projects that will address the important questions that we face.

Thanks to you, we have met our original goal of $75,000...which will be matched by LCRF for a total of $150,000 to fund a full two-year grant specific to EGFR research! And we do not plan to stop there!!!

While we are assessing the best research project for this $150,000 grant, we want to continue our momentum to raise more funds to support more science to help all of us with EGFR+ lung cancer. Dollars raised going forward will be used to fund an additional two projects related to EGFR.

LCRF has a history of funding the best researchers in the field. Including Dr. Matthew Meyerson from Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, whose early work, funded through LCRF, led his group to discover the EGFR mutations in lung cancer, setting the stage for the field of genome-targeted therapy.

Stay tuned for more announcements in November during Lung Cancer Awareness Month. Let's continue to provide support for our community through advancing research together!

We need your help! Here are four ways you can contribute:

  1. Make a tax deductible online donation
  2. Create your own fundraising page! Proceeds from a lemonade stand, garage sale, birthday celebration, email campaign, etc. can help us reach our goal. You'll see step-by-step instructions when you start your page.
  3. Reach your family and friends through Facebook fundraising. After you sign up here to create a fundraising page, you can make a new Facebook fundraiser right from your Participant Center! Any donations will be counted towards your total.
  4. Mail in a check. Please make sure that you write "For EGFR Resisters" in the memo section and mail it to:
