EGFR ResistersEGFR Resisters is excited to partner with Lung Cancer Research Foundation to raise funds for new EGFR-positive lung cancer research project(s). EGFR Resisters (https://egfrcancer.org) has worked since our founding in 2017 to identify gaps in research and critical needs for our patient community. We have proven the power of patient driven research and are ready to help fund more projects that will address the important questions that we face.

In 2021 your support funded Dr. Yang Tian from Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. In 2022, all dollars raised will be used to fund two additional projects related to resistance to therapies in EGFR-positive lung cancer. We are thrilled to announce that we have hit our goal to fund two projects!

With well over 20 applications submitted to date, we are hoping to potentially fund even more research. LCRF has a history of funding the best investigators in the field – including Dr. Matthew Meyerson from Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, whose early LCRF-funded work led his group to discover the EGFR mutations in lung cancer, setting the stage for the field of genome-targeted therapy.

Let's continue to provide support for our community through advancing research together!

We need your help! Here are four ways you can contribute:

  1. Make a tax deductible online donation
  2. Create your own fundraising page! Proceeds from a lemonade stand, garage sale, birthday celebration, email campaign, etc. can help us reach our goal. You'll see step-by-step instructions when you start your page.
  3. Reach your family and friends through Facebook fundraising. After you sign up here to create a fundraising page, you can make a new Facebook fundraiser right from your Participant Center! Any donations will be counted towards your total.
  4. Mail in a check. Please make sure that you write "For EGFR Resisters" in the memo section and mail it to:
